Globalisation -- or more correctly, the rise of international corporate power -- is intimately linked to the environmental injustices suffered by the poor; and to the increasing environmental threat facing the planet. An understanding of South Africa's environmental and developmental challenges cannot be complete without an understanding of how global economic forces are shaping our world.
